Thapar University offers courses in the sphere of IT and Computer Network Management  If you want courses in distance mode, you

may contact BIMS Pune .The Bharathiar University, Coimbatore  also offers courses in Networking and from SERT IT Campus Chengannur

4.I have completed my B. Sc MLT. Is there any University offering correspondence course in M. Sc MLT or M. Sc Biochemistry?

There are many private paramedical Institutions that provide M. Sc in MLT. One such institute is Padmashree Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology, Nagarbhavi Circle, Bangalore – 560 072, Karnataka (India)
Annamalai University offers courses in applied/ Biochemistry in distance mode . Bishop Heber College – Tiruchirapalli also offers similar courses.

 

5.I am a Computer engineer who has now completed MBA in marketing.  I want to compete for IAS. Provide me information about the optional papers and course details.

Civil Services Exam is conducted in three stages i.e. Preliminary, Mains followed by interview. The detailed notification is issued by UPSC in Employment News generally in November/ December every year. You may also access www.upsc.gov.in for the relevant information.
The optional that could be suitable to you could be Maths, Physics, management or any of the Social Sciences optional such as Anthropology depending on your aptitude and individual choice etc. The paper is generally of a standard that is slightly higher than the Graduation level. The detailed syllabus of each of the optional is available in the EN Notification or UPSC website. You may also contact any of the leading book sellers for a reference book that may contain such information.

The hospital management programme is offered by many institutions across the country. Some of them are listed below:

8.I am doing my final semester of Engineering and will be passing out in May. I am keen to be a Pilot in the Air Force. Can you guide me?
There are two routes for joining the Indian Air Force as a Pilot in the Flying branch: one, after 10+2 via the National Defence Academy (NDA) Exam and the other, after graduation via the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE). Upon clearing the Test, you will be called to an Air Force Selection Board for Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) followed by a series of group tests, psychological tests and interview. Incidentally the PABT can be taken only once. Eligibility criteria for CDSE is a B. Sc degree with Physics, and/or Maths or BE/ B. Tech, Age: 19-23 years. There is a special provision for male NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders in Sr. Division (Air Wing). Upon successful completion of training, cadets are absorbed as permanent commissioned officers in the Flying Branch of the IAF. Watch out for the notifications for both exams that appear in leading national dailies in the months of April/ May and October/ November each year.

 

9.I am doing MBBS. After that what will do that I can’t decide right now. What will be the great career? 1) Is it doing a PG in US or 2) Doing MBA in Hospital Management? Also give me information about Hospital Management.  

If you want to pursue a career in the Medical Sciences, you can aim for higher studies in India and abroad. Admission would be competitive everywhere. You can look for clinical studies or for non-clinical studies. Hospital Management programmes offered by prominent institutions like Tata Institute of Social Services, Mumbai are targeted at all graduates including medical graduates. However, there are also Hospital Management programmes open only to medical graduates with related work experience after graduation. Examples are AIIMS, New Delhi (www.aims.edu or www.aiims.ac.in), FMS Delhi (www.fms.edu) etc. Hospital Management from a reputed Institution would lead to good employment prospects as health sector is growing.
